MOUTH CANCER AWARENESS
As a practice we have always taken the early detection of mouth cancer very seriously.
November is Mouth Cancer Awareness month.
Following the last three years will be more free drop in sessions in November 2015 for people to come in for a free oral cancer check.
This is not necessary for regular patients as this is routinely done as part of their examinations.
Mouth cancer is diagnosed in over 6,000 people a year and kills nearlly 2,000. Early detection saves lives.
This years sessions are:
Tuesday 3rd November 11.30-12.30
Friday 20th November 10.00-11,00
Tuesday 24th November 13.30-14.30
Monday 30th November 13,39-14.30

MORAY FIRTH MAINTENANCE PLAN - To compliment our Moray Firth Full Care Dental Plan which covers the majority of your dental treatment; this plan will cover an agreed number of yearly examinations and hygiene visits as well as offering 10% discount on all necessary clinical and cosmetic treatments with the added benefit of world wide accident and emergency dental cover. STUDENTS - our new policy allows all students to remain NHS until the end of their studies. Once you reach 19 if you are not entitled to help under the NHS exemptions you can remain an NHS patient paying NHS prices. We would advise all students to fill in the HC1 form if they think they may be entitled to help with costs. *

PREGNANT & NURSING MOTHERS - (as of 1st September 2012) if they wish can now be treated under the NHS. *

PENSION CREDIT GUARANTEED - pensioners receiving guaranteed pension credit will be treated as NHS exempt patients. *

* Certain treatments and materials are not available on the NHS - your dentist can advise you. These can be paid for privately.
