Everything You Need to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

Can adults have orthodontic treatment?
Yes. We offer clear aligners, tooth-coloured fixed braces and other discreet options suitable for adults who want to straighten their teeth or correct minor relapse.
 Is NHS orthodontic treatment available?
NHS orthodontic care is available for under 18s where the clinical need for treatment meets NHS criteria. Minor orthodontic problems are excluded. Your dentist will assess and advise.
What if my teeth have moved after previous braces?
We can treat relapsed cases using clear aligners or other short-term appliances to re-straighten teeth that have shifted after earlier orthodontic work.
What is the difference between clear aligners and fixed braces?
Clear aligners are removable, discreet trays changed every few weeks. Fixed braces are bonded to teeth and can treat a wider range of problems but are visible (though tooth-coloured options blend in).
Will I need to see a specialist orthodontist?
For minor crowding and cosmetic alignment, we can often treat you in-house. Complex cases may require referral to a specialist orthodontist for comprehensive treatment.
